Dr. Ki Won Kwon, an eminent researcher and Principal Researcher at the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), stands at the forefront of innovation in Smart Networks, Artificial Intelligence, Marine ICT Systems, and Data Communication Technologies. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Chung-Ang University, following his M.S. and B.S. degrees in Computer Engineering from Kwangwoon University. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Ki Won Kwon has served in multiple leadership positions, including Director of the Smart Network Research Center, Vice Chairman of TTA PG 218, Chair of the Industry Convergence Division at OSIA, and Vice President of the Korea Internet Information Society, demonstrating his exceptional capacity to link academia, research institutions, and industry in advancing Korea’s digital transformation. His professional experience spans decades of expertise in developing smart sensing systems, network architectures, deep learning-based communication solutions, and marine information technologies, significantly contributing to national and international R&D initiatives. His research interests encompass AI-driven sensing technologies, network optimization, data visualization, maritime ICT, and industrial convergence platforms, emphasizing sustainability and efficiency in emerging technologies. Dr. Ki Won Kwon’s research skills include advanced algorithm design, data analytics, deep learning model optimization, and large-scale network system integration, supported by an impressive record of 47 Scopus-indexed publications, over 115 citations, and an h-index of 5. He has also contributed to international collaborations and serves as a reviewer and technical advisor for multiple ICT committees, including TTA, KEIT, IITP, MOTIE, KISTEP, and KIMST. His achievements have earned him wide recognition and numerous professional honors for excellence in Marine and Fisheries ICT innovation, Industry Convergence Research, and Smart Network Technology Development.
